Nutley Dean Garden Care – Terms of Business

1. Introduction

These Terms of Business govern the services provided by Nutley Dean Garden Care (“we,” “us,” “our”) to our clients (“you,” “your”). By engaging our services, you agree to these terms.

2. Services Provided

We offer professional gardening and grounds maintenance services, including but not limited to:

• Lawn care (mowing, edging)

• Hedge trimming

• Weeding and planting

• Leaf clearing

• Garden clearances

• Private residential gardening

• Grounds maintenance for residential developments

Additional services such as Japanese knotweed treatment, tree surgery, patio cleaning, landscaping, and garden design can be arranged through our network of trusted contacts.

3. Quotations & Pricing

• All quotations are free and valid for 90 days.

• Prices are based on the size and condition of the garden/grounds, the work required, and access.

• Additional work outside of the agreed scope may be charged separately and will be discussed beforehand.

4. Booking & Cancellations

• For our regular maintenance clients, we are committed to maintaining the agreed number of scheduled visits. However, we take a pragmatic approach to scheduling, considering factors such as weather conditions and staff annual leave. While we aim to be on-site weekly or fortnightly as planned, there may be occasions when extreme weather, seasonal requirements, or holiday periods mean we need to adjust visit dates. We will ensure that the overall number of visits is upheld and that your garden or grounds receive the necessary care throughout the year.

If adjustments to your schedule are required, we will communicate with you in advance wherever possible.

• One-off or ad-hoc bookings are subject to availability.

• Cancellations require at least 48 hours’ notice. Late cancellations may be subject to a fee.

5. Payments

• Payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed.

• We accept bank transfers and other payment methods as specified in our invoice.

• Late payments may incur interest charges or impact future service availability.

6. Waste Disposal

• We are fully insured and hold a waste carriers’ license.

• All green waste will be removed and, where possible, turned into mulch, compost, or wood chippings. Disposal of non-garden waste (e.g., furniture, construction debris) is not included.

7. Health & Safety

• We take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of our team, clients, and the public.

• We use battery-operated machinery where possible to minimise noise and environmental impact.

• Clients must inform us of any hazards on-site (e.g., uneven ground, hidden cables, wasp nests).

• All dog mess to be cleared prior to our visits.

8. Liability & Insurance

• We carry full public liability insurance.

• While we take great care, we are not responsible for damage caused by pre-existing conditions (e.g., weak fencing, unstable trees).

• Clients must ensure clear access to the site; we are not liable for delays caused by access restrictions.

9. Complaints & Satisfaction

• We pride ourselves on quality service and customer satisfaction.

• If you have any concerns, please notify us within 48 hours of service completion so we can address them promptly.

10. Amendments to Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms as necessary. The latest version will always be available on our website.
